Oeconomicus (www.oeconomicus.fr) is the first French journal entirely dedicated to the analysis and accessible dissemination of economic research. It is composed of researchers, PhD students, students, and economists from both the private and public sectors. Awarded Best French Online Journal in 2021, Oeconomicus serves as a platform for the democratization and debate of economic research findings and their practical applications. To achieve this, the journal collaborates with museums, research centers, universities, as well as public institutions and private companies.

Our philosophy is based on three key observations. First, economics is a constant presence in our daily lives, yet it remains poorly understood and often confined to specialists. Second, the results of economic research are poorly disseminated through the press. Finally, beyond the limited focus of contemporary media on analyzing economics and integrating it into public debate, there is a noticeable lack of platforms for economics professionals and students to discuss, debate, and share their work and knowledge across various fields. These platforms must maintain a delicate balance between scientific rigor and accessibility. Moreover, simplifying and popularizing one’s research creates a synergy between the research agenda and the need for better public understanding of economic debates.
